Simply install
Discord-installer
. It will automatically download and build a package for Discord, as well as update it whenever it's necessary.If you want to use the canary version, use the associated systemd service and timer:
systemctl enable --now discord-canary-installer.{service,timer}
.If you want to remove the normal version:
systemctl disable discord-installer.{service,timer}
and pkcon remove Discord
.As Discord is not open-source, I don't have the right to redistribute it, nor to put it on Fedora Copr. This installer does not contain the Discord application, and thus solves both problems.
